My Little Sister's Video: CLOSE TO MY HEART DOES IT AGAIN

Image
This is Lisa, my little sister, in this video. I love this explosion box she made and thought I would share her video with everyone. I ordered this cartridge through Lisa a few weeks back but just have not opened it (much less used it yet), but this video makes me want to get finished with what I already have on today's "To Do" list so I can go play with this cartridge! Cute cute cute! If you don't have a personal CTMH consultant, please consider ordering through my sister, not only because she is my little sister but also because she is a truly wonderful person.  Here is her CTMH link:   http://lisamoore.ctmh.com/

More Journals . . .

Image
. . . of sorts. I guess it's okay to call them "journals". They aren't diary journals but rather art journals.   Here are five (current count) pictured here. About a month ago I posted about the one pictured lower left. That one is my Letter Love journal for the online class, Letter Love 101 , by Joanne Sharpe. With the slow migration to electronic communication over the last 20 years or so I found that my penmanship had deteriorated a bit and I wanted to make myself more comfortable and happy with hand lettering, so I signed up for access to the lessons. It is self-paced so you don't have to start at any particular time and, more importantly, you don't have to "stay with the class" as you work through the lessons. I like that because that means I don't have to stress about not getting a lesson finished on a deadline and falling behind. Here is a close up of that journal: Link to the original post featuring this journal:  http://perpetua...

Two Challenge Card Entries in this Post

Image
Today I have two cards I made for challenge entries. Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Challenge - Wednesday, September 22, 2010 The challenge for this week is a technique challenge. We had to make an easel card. Now, I had made an easel card once before, but I didn't have the size constraints of making it fit the A2 size. This time I needed to make it fit the A2 size (the recommended, but not mandatory OWH size). And, as always happens I could not find the tut I used the first time, which to me was easier to follow than the one OWH linked us to. Since I was negligent in saving the first tut, I did save this one, and if I ever find that first one again, you can be sure I will save it!  (edit to add - Julie posted a link to an easel card tut that is on the OWH site and to me it made better sense in regard to the direction of the folds. For anyone interested, I have saved both tuts on my "Saved Tuts" page.) Okay, so, for this card I decided to try my Tim Holtz ...
