Squigglefly Challenge #88 - SFC88 - Grateful for GREEN!

Image
I find I like the challenge of a monochrome design. Forces me to work with that color more. So I was happy to see a monochrome challenge on Squigglefly today and spent a little time in the craft room making a green card for this challenge. All of my cardstock is generic that I picked up at Michaels several years ago. The image is Beautiful Borders digi from Squigglefly and I colored it with green Copic markers. The green plaid that edges the stamped image is Japanese Washi tape. I also taped some cardstock with the Washi tape and placed it beneath the punched trim at the top, then trimmed the taped cardstock to match the scallops. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. My card is a standard A2 so that I can add it to my box of cards for OWH .

MY CARD Here is the card I made to share with you today. Makes me think of chocolate bunnies and Neapolitan ice cream - yum!   The base of my card is Tutu Pink cardstock from Bazzill. The pink paper with white dots is from Creative Memories, it is from a pack called Tone on Tone from their Delight's collection (hard to see them in this picture, but there are small white dots on the pink paper at the top of the card). The brown cardstock is also from Bazzill - Iced Cocoa. I used an EK Success...

Baby Card (and mini-status update on the room re-vamp)

Yesterday I spent part of my day working on a couple of cards and spent the rest of the day working organizing my supplies in my craft room. First I want to post a card a made to go with the baby gift for my step-granddaughter, Jennifer. This is my first attempt at an easel design and I am pretty pleased with it. It doesn't exactly match the wrapping paper for the gift, which is mostly ecru with little rabbits at play, but I wanted it to be specifically blue for boy so that it made better sense if she chooses to set it out to look at and show others. Angled view to show the easel This card is made with a digi-stamp from Squigglefly.com . And the diaper pins were just a free clip-art image from some random place on the web. I cut the pins out & raised them with foam tape to give more support to the image front. Front view You can't really tell in these images, but if you click on the front image it should open to a larger view and you can see the Cutt...
