Operation Write Home Bunny Hop Blog Hop
HELLO AND WELCOME
I'm glad you stopped by my hop spot on the Operation Write Home Bunny Hop Blog Hop. I hope everyone is having a hopping good time and that you have found plenty to add a spring to your step! If you came here from Shelly of "Confessions of a Wheelie Scrapbooker" then you are on the right bunny trail. If you didn't, then please hop on over to the first stop on this blog hop by clicking here, so that you can enjoy all the wonderful work along the way.
MY CARD
Here is the card I made to share with you today. Makes me think of chocolate bunnies and Neapolitan ice cream - yum!
The base of my card is Tutu Pink cardstock from Bazzill. The pink paper with white dots is from Creative Memories, it is from a pack called Tone on Tone from their Delight's collection (hard to see them in this picture, but there are small white dots on the pink paper at the top of the card). The brown cardstock is also from Bazzill - Iced Cocoa. I used an EK Success border punch to add the pretty heart and scroll edging to the top layer of brown. The image is a digi-stamp is "Rupert's Gift from Squigglefly. I colored my image with Copic markers and used a Spellbinders Nestabilities label die to cut it out. I used the next size up to cut the layer below the image. On this layer I taped the Spellbinders die to the cardstock and used it as a mask to color the pink contrast on the white cardstock before I ran it through my CuttleBug. I used more of the Tutu pink to cut the sentiment label ans stamped Happy Easter using the Jessie's ABC's stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The sheer pink ribbon is some generic brand that I bought at Michaels years ago to make hair bows for my oldest granddaughter and had so much left over that I am still using it today.
UPCOMING OWH DEADLINES
If you are already making cards for OWH then you probably know when certain deadlines are. If you have not been making cards for OWH, but would like to, please keep in mind that the next deadlines coming up will be The Easter Card deadline: March 18th. And The Mother's Day Card deadline: March 31st. Get those cards made and to the shippers in time to reach the troops for these upcoming events. If you want to know other deadlines, Click Here.
OWH CARD HOSPITAL
For anyone new to OWH, please click the banner in the right sidebar of my blog and take a look around. It is a very good and worthy cause. You will find a lot of great and helpful information there. One page I find particularly helpful, especially for newcomers, is the Card Hospital Page. This page will give you a heads-up on what causes cards to end up in the Card Hospital.
BLOG CANDY
I hope you enjoyed my contribution to the Operation Write Home Bunny Hop Blog Hop and before you go lets enjoy a little BLOG CANDY. Please post a comment below and be sure to include a way for me to contact you. Also, please become a follower (following is not required, but is much appreciated!). Comments MUST be posted by midnight Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 8 and on Wednesday, March 9 I will have the random number generator found in the right hand sidebar decide who will win a grab bag of miscellaneous crafting goodies.
NEXT STOP
Okay, now that we have taken care of the card, deadlines, the Card Hospital information & the blog candy it is time to send you on your way to the next stop on this hop.
